Meaning of BinTongue’s Logo

“Bin” meaning “thousand” in Turkish, the logo of BinTongue is projecting its literal meaning: thousand tongues or languages. However, it figuratively means a lot more.

Why were this logo and name suitable for this business? Firstly, Binnur Tuncel-van Pomeren, the founder of BinTongue wanted a name that might be linked with her first name ”Binnur”. In Turkish, Binnur means “a thousand lights”.

Secondly, BinTongue operates in the five languages Binnur is capable of. Turkish people love exaggerations: even if they speak only five languages, that is not so much different from thousand languages...
